As an artist I am first and foremost a storyteller.

My art serves as a conduit for people to engage in a perpetual state of play.  Within the realm of art I invite one to explore the familiar, the conventional, and the common good, to disrupt meanings and uses.

For me the essence of art transcends the pursuit of beauty, order or aesthetic appeal. We need to embark on a journey of creation, making entirely new universes with each endeavour.

In my artistic practice, my aim is to forge a connection between myself and the viewer through a ritual of self-reflection.

Often, I evoke a sense of unease and shame, dismantling societal norms, racial- and gender roles, obliterating rules and codes – essentially gate-crashing. Every creation I bring forth is inherently autobiographical,
